September 7, 2016. All of us at Soule & Stull express our deepest sympathy to the family of Richard Bowman, who passed away this morning. Most of us – George, Melissa, Kevin, John, Kelly and Beth – worked in the trenches with Richard during his remarkable career. George says “Dick was my partner, my mentor and my friend. John and I (and others) helped Dick start a law firm 31 years ago. Dick was one of the world’s finest trial lawyers, with nerves of steel. He taught me so much, as he did so many others. He was passionate in his support of each partner and employee at his firm. We will miss him tremendously.”
September 2016. George Soule published an article “Overseas Product Liability Claims” in the September 2016 issue of LJN’s Product Liability Law & Strategy, a monthly publication for product liability practitioners. Many American companies sell products overseas. While most countries are not as litigious as the United States, manufacturers are seeing more product liability claims abroad.
Manufacturers may have little experience in litigating such claims, and will look to their U.S.-based product liability counsel for assistance. The article suggests several ways in which counsel may help manufacturers manage overseas litigation. Soule & Stull has assisted clients with several overseas cases, including in Australia, Brazil, France and Israel.

You can vote in the Primary before August 9 by requesting an absentee ballot from the Secretary of State here or by going to your municipality’s early voting site. (For example, in Minneapolis, you can vote at the Early Vote Center at 217 South Third Street.) George and Melissa voted today.
