Soule & Stull Welcomes Eric Hylden

January 12, 2026. Soule & Stull is pleased to announce that Eric Hylden has joined the firm as ADR Counsel. Eric will offer Alternative Dispute Resolution services, including mediation, arbitration, and special master assignments.

Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed Eric Hylden to the Sixth Judicial District Court in 2007 and he won election in 2008, 2014, and 2020. Eric was chambered in the Duluth Courthouse. He retired in 2025. As judge, he handled every case type, presided over 100 jury trials, and served for many years as Presiding Civil Judge in Duluth.

“We are delighted that Eric will join our ADR practice,” Melissa Stull said. “Eric has extensive experience in civil cases as trial lawyer and trial judge. With his skills and knowledge, he can help lawyers and judges resolve and manage their most challenging cases.”
