George’s cookies draw $350 at auction for DIW Food Shelf

February 29, 2016. George’s “world famous” chocolate chip cookies raised $350 at auction for the Division of Indian Work Food Shelf in Minneapolis. On Leap Year Day, over 200 people attended the DIW’s first food shelf fundraiser. The event featured well-known, local musicians, a silent auction, and live auction. From 1991 – 1999, George served as Vice-Chair of the Commission under Governor Arne Carlson.
