August 2017. Super Lawyers named George Soule a Super Lawyer and Melissa Stull a Rising Star in its 2017 rankings. George has received Super Lawyer designation each year since 1998 and this is Melissa’s fifth Rising Star honor. George was also named to the Ten Year Super Lawyers Top List Achievement, recognizing Minnesota lawyers who have been included on a Super Lawyers Top List for 10 years or more.
July 20, 2017 – George, Melissa and Anton van der Merwe played in the Minnesota American Indian Bar Association golf tournament at The Meadows at Mystic Lake. May 12, 2017. George Soule addressed 800 new graduates at the Minnesota State University Moorhead commencement today. George greeted the graduates, family and friends on behalf of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board and Chancellor. George serves on the Minnesota State Board of Trustees. George encouraged the graduates to “do great things, make a mark, create a legacy.”
May 11, 2017. George Soule gave a presentation today on paralegal ethics at the 2017 Minnesota Paralegal Association Annual Convention. George drew on his legal experience to present real world scenarios illustrating ethical issues that may be faced by paralegals. Soule & Stull Paralegal Alice McGlave is Vice President of the Minnesota Paralegal Association and helped to plan the convention.
April 21, 2017. The Minnesota State Bar Association presented the David Graven Public Service Award to former Supreme Court Justice Paul Anderson at its assembly meeting. February 27, 2017. George’s chocolate chip cookies raised $2400 at auction for the Division of Indian Work Food Shelf in Minneapolis. The winning bid was $800, matched by two other bidders, so George agreed to bake two more batches. Over 300 people attended the DIW’s second annual food shelf fundraiser on February 27.
