June 7, 2016. George Soule was the featured speaker at this month’s Senior Republicans of Minnesota meeting in Richfield. George spoke about judicial appointments and elections, including federal judge appointments, the confirmation of Chief Justice John Roberts, the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection and state court appointments, and state court elections. There was a lively discussion of judge and court-related topics, including what appointments under President Clinton or Trump might look like. From 1999 – 2002, George served as Chair of the Minnesota Commission on Judicial Selection under Governor Jesse Ventura, and has co-chaired several campaigns for Minnesota Supreme Court justices.
